Iota Lambda at the Midwestern Regional Convention 2009

        Your photographer/reporter could only be present for the Thursday through early Saturday programs, but we offer you this overview of some of the highlights for those days. Included in the images below are scenes from some of the Vice President's Reception, Collegiate Scholars Bowl, business sesssions, the Miss Black and Gold Pageant, and the Community Outreach Luncheon. A good contingent of Iota Lambda Brothers represented our Chapter at the Convention including (among others) Chapter President, William Lindsey, Chapter Vice President, Br. Tony Kirkland, and Br. Dedrick Dennist making his first bid for Alpha Alumni Brother of the Year at the Regional level with a fine display of his Fraternal achievements. The lavish resort made an excellent backdrop for the business of Alpha. Among notables at the convention were our Midwestern Regional Vice President, Br. Mark Tillman, current General President, Br. Herman Skip Mason, and former General President, Br. James Williams. Also featured were a number of training opportunities including a lively panel discussion on leadership including administrators from nearby Northeastern Illinois University and a workshop (not pictured) conducted by author and educator Dr. Scott Allen.
