On
the first weekend in October each year, Indianapolis becomes a
national center of African American culture
and collegiate sports. In 2007, Indiana Sports Corporation and
Indiana Black Expo again collaborated to host the Circle City
Classic bringing togethere two HBCU football teams and their fans
for a weekend of luncheons, parades, parties, step competitions,
and of course - the big game and Battle of the Bands in the RCA
Dome. Iota Lambda and neighboring chapters again participated
in the parade and occupied a fraternity block of tickets at the
game. Brothers from Theta Xi at Ball State and members of our
youth mentoring group stepped as prestige automobiles, banners,
and marching Alphas completed the parade unit. Following are some
glimpses of Alpha Phi Alpha at this national event. I-Lam and
area Brothers, IN THE HOUSE!
